You don't know what you don't know

Am I missing a deadline? Is there a payment I was supposed to make? Is something up for renewal that nobody told me about?

Most founders entering Saudi Arabia can see the opportunity clearly and cannot see the path at all. That gap is the whole problem, and it is expensive.

A founder who was where you are

You don't know what you don't know. And that feeling sucks.

I went to a few places first and lost money.

Dr. Sulaiman Alsalameh · Founder, ChiefNest · United States

Sulaiman is a Taajeel client and a partner in Start Saudi.

Are we a fit?

Four questions. About twenty seconds.

Step 1 of 5

Where are you right now?

Questions founders ask first

Can a foreigner own 100% of a Saudi company?

For most activities, yes. Saudi Arabia allows full foreign ownership under an investment licence from the Ministry of Investment. A small number of activities are restricted or need extra approvals, and we confirm yours before you commit.

Do I need a Saudi partner?

Not for most activities. With a MISA investment licence a foreign founder can own the company outright. A few restricted activities still need a Saudi partner or a specific licence, which we check on the call.

Do I have to travel to Saudi Arabia to set it up?

The registration steps do not require you to be in the country. Taajeel runs the filings and you sign from where you are. Opening the bank account after incorporation may need a visit depending on the bank, and we tell you upfront.

What does it cost?

Two parts: Taajeel's service fee and the government fees for the licence, registration and other filings. Government fees are set by the authorities and vary by activity and company type. You get both in writing before you commit, and the discovery call is free.

How long does it really take?

15 working days from complete documents to a registered company with active government accounts. The investment licence and trade name run in parallel first, then articles, notarisation, commercial registration and government accounts. The GM visa and bank account come after and are tracked separately.

What can I not do on a standard iqama?

A standard iqama on its own does not allow you to own a company. Your route runs through MISA registration, which is a real path with its own requirements. Leave your email in the form and we send you the steps.
